The 19th Annual Made in the Shade Beer Tasting Festival will be taking place this weekend in Flagstaff where it is a cool 85 degrees today! Taste beer from breweries all over the Southwest while enjoying the cool weather under the pines of Flagstaff, AZ during the 19th Annual Made in the Shade Beer Tasting Festival!

The 19th annual Made in the Shade Beer Tasting Festival unfolds on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 1 to 5 p.m.

This is a must-attend event to benefit Sun Sounds of Arizona in Flagstaff, a nonprofit providing audio access to information to people in northern Arizona who cannot read print because they have a disability.

The Made in the Shade Beer Tasting Festival features specialty and hand-crafted beers from over 50 breweries from the Southwest and West Coast.

The Phoenix-based dance band, Peppermint James, is providing live entertainment for the Made in the Shade Beer Tasting Festival, and is set to delight the crowd with their groove-rock that afternoon at the Made in the Shade venue, Coconino County Fairgrounds (Ft. Tuthill) just south of Flagstaff off I-17.

  • Purchase advance tickets for $40. Event-day tickets are $50. Ticket price includes a souvenir sampling mug, 24 sampling tickets to exchange for beer samples, plus live music, and more. A tantalizing variety of food and snacks are available for purchase from several vendors.
  • VIP tickets are $80 in advance and $90 at the door and include benefits listed above plus access to a private VIP area with seating, food snacks, a VIP line to restrooms, beer sampling, wine sampling, and early admission (12 noon). There will also be massage therapists giving chair massages for tips.
  • General admission designated driver tickets are $20 each at the event. No pets. No children and all guests must be 21 and have an ID to enter. Last pour is at 5 p.m.
